Wild Brands

Wild work for good businesses.

Strategy, voice and the thing itself. Platforms that keep working. Five-day sprints.

You do good work. Then you describe it in the same words as everyone else, and it disappears. We find what only you can say, and make the things that say it.

You’ll work with creatives, makers, and technologists with decades behind them. Our prices are fixed and published, and it starts with a half day for £1,000.

Who loses

What you do stands out.
How you talk about it doesn’t.

You know who you are and what you bring. Then you describe it in the same words as everyone else, and it doesn't land. What sets you apart is the specific thing you do.

How it usually gets said

Their wordsTheir work

The true lines are real businesses, found in reports and profiles. The usual wording is ours, written to show the habit.

Who it's for

We work with businesses that have something real to say.

Six things owners tell us. Tap any that sound like your business. There are no wrong answers.

Sound familiar?Tap as many as ring true.
Owners usually come to us when something is about to change.
  • B Corp recertification is due, and the impact report needs to say something.
  • The business is moving to employee ownership, and staff and customers need to understand it.
  • You're entering a market where nobody knows you yet.
  • Your reputation travels by word of mouth, and your website doesn't carry it.
  • The founder is stepping back, and the business needs to sound like itself without them.
A line of new fence posts runs away into thick fog across a frosted field, a pale sun behind.

What has changed

Making things is now free.

So everything sounds the same.

Tap the sentence above. It never runs out.

When whoever writes your words doesn’t really know you, you end up sounding like everyone else. Even before AI.

An old wooden fishing boat on the shingle at Dungeness while a container ship passes on the horizon.

Who said it?

The biggest companies took your words.

They can say them louder. They can't do what you do.

Banks, oil companies and soft-drink makers all promise a better future for people and planet, with budgets you will never match. Fight them on words and you lose, or worse, you sound like you're signalling. What they can't copy is the work.

Each line below is real, copied from a company's own website. Read it and guess who wrote it: a small independent, or a global company. We'll tell you.

Your voice

It’s already in there.

In the way you work, and the way your people talk about it when no one’s writing it down.

We find it and make things that sound like you.

Who we are

A collective with long memories.

Nerve takes years.

Strategists, writers, designers, photographers, filmmakers and technologists. Each of us has spent decades learning what to keep and what to cut. Now we put that judgement straight into the work, without an agency to carry. The people you meet are the people who make it.

A newly laid hawthorn hedge runs across a frosted Kent field under a grey winter sky.

What we believe

We are dangerous.

We believe in making. A made thing can change what people do. Making things is cheap now. Making something people remember still takes nerve.

We respect the old ways. The flint wall that has stood for centuries because every stone was chosen. The hedge laid by hand so it grows back thicker. Slow work, built to last. It is how we learned and how we still work.

We believe in human ingenuity, and we use every new tool there is, AI included, and say so. Every image on this site was made with AI. The tools make. People decide.

We are thinkers, creatives, makers and technologists.

If you make things and want them to matter again, there is room here.

Grounded. Less edited. Dangerous again.

A hare sits upright on ploughed marshland, a lone church on the horizon.

How we work

Strategy. Voice. Then the thing itself.

We work out what your business needs people to understand, then make something that gives them a reason to pay attention. The judgement carries through every choice, from what we make to how it reaches them.

It might be a website that helps customers see why they should choose you. An impact report that makes the evidence clear. A founder newsletter that gives people a reason to stay close.

We build platforms, not campaigns

Give your customers a reason to keep coming back, long before they buy.

Then an engine to bring the right people to it.

A campaign has an end date. A platform has another edition. People come back to it, so you’re in the room before anyone asks for a quote.

This is how we think.

The businessA London cleaning company, the first in its industry accredited for a Living Pension.

What we'd makePublic pension and pay data joined up to show what cleaners retire on, sector by sector.

What it opens

HR and procurement leads share it, and the company is in the room before the tender.

These are real, good businesses we’ve found. The ideas are examples of how we think.

We make it, bring the right people to it and keep it working. Most good businesses have something like this in them. The half day finds yours.

Prices

You’ll know what it costs before we speak, and it won’t change.

You pay what it says here, for a scope we agree up front. If you want more, it costs more. You can stop after any step.

A typical first project is the half day, Decide it and a five-page website: £7,500 plus VAT in total, once the half day’s £1,000 comes off.

  1. 1

    Start with a half day

Half a day with you and up to eight of your team. We find the things you do well and differently, where your words are weak or sound like everyone else's. You leave knowing what to stop saying, and what to say instead. If you go on to work with us, the £1,000 comes off the bill.

    £1,000Within a fortnight
  2. 2

    Decide it

Strategy and voice. A facilitated day with you and your team, then what only you can say, who most needs to hear it, and how to say it.

    £3,500One sprint, about two weeks
  3. 3

    Make it

The thing itself, made from the strategy in that voice. This step is about you. Priced by the thing. Here are some examples.

    • Brand identity£3,500
    • Website, up to five pages£4,000
    • Social campaign, six weeks£3,500
    • Impact report, made readable£4,000
    • Data story£3,500
    • Founder newsletter, first three issues£2,000
    • Looking after it, half a day a month£1,000 a month
    From £2,000One sprint each
  4. 4

    Build the platform

This step is for them. Something your customers value whether or not they buy: an index, a briefing series, a podcast, a round table or a tool. Decided, made and live in about four weeks. It comes after step 2, Decide it.

    £7,500Two sprints, about four weeks
  5. 5

    Run the engine

We put the platform in front of the right people, follow up, and improve it from what happens.

£3,000 a monthOne sprint a month. Stop whenever you like

Prices exclude VAT. Half to start, half on delivery. Nothing added later. Or just write to us. Most of this starts with a conversation.

A European bison stands in a clearing in a winter wood at dusk.

What we put back

Every invoice puts something back.

Five per cent of every invoice goes to Kent Wildlife Trust, helping restore the woods near Canterbury where bison now roam.

An abandoned fishing boat rests on shingle at last light, a lighthouse in the distance.

Start

You’re better than you sound. Let’s change that.

Write to us. The first conversation is with Magnus Wood. It costs nothing, and it's to find out whether there is something worth doing together. If there is, the half day is the paid next step.
